Parkridge Medical Center begins construction of new patient tower
Chattanooga, Tenn. — Parkridge Health System is excited to announce the beginning of construction on a new patient tower at Parkridge Medical Center. The $98 million expansion aims to enhance healthcare access and capacity in the greater Chattanooga area.
“We’re extremely proud to continue to grow to meet the healthcare needs of the Chattanooga community,” said Chris Cosby, president and chief executive officer of Parkridge Health System. “This new patient tower will enable us to serve more patients and continue to provide exceptional care in our community.”
The new patient tower represents one of the largest expansions in the system’s history and is designed to meet the evolving healthcare needs of Chattanooga’s growing population. The project will include a modern patient tower featuring additional intensive care unit and medical-surgical rooms, increasing the hospital’s capacity and enabling more timely, specialized care. The project is scheduled for completion in 2026.
The $98 million expansion project is in addition to numerous other investments Parkridge Health System has made in the Chattanooga community in the past four years. Recent projects include:
- Parkridge Camp Jordan ER: $16 million
- Parkridge Soddy-Daisy ER: $17 million
- Parkridge Mental Health Therapy Center
The healthcare system has invested an additional $17 million in recent projects across the network.
