Our behavioral health programs
Our mental and behavioral experts create treatment plans based on your specific needs, prioritizing your safety and stability.
Our anxiety treatment programs
Even though anxiety disorders are serious medical conditions — just like heart disease and diabetes — many people who suffer from such disorders do not receive treatment. If you’re experiencing extreme unease caused by irrational worry about day-to-day situations, we know how paralyzing anxiety can be. While everyone experiences anxiety to varying degrees, when that anxiety begins to affect your daily activities, you may have an anxiety disorder.
Our providers tailor their approach to treat you, which means once you enter our care, every interaction with our providers is aimed to address your specific needs. Whether you’re suffering from life-altering anxiety or also require treatment for other conditions, we will walk with you on your road to recovery and equip you with the tools you need to thrive in everyday life.
Our depression treatment programs
Depression is a common mood disorder characterized by severe symptoms, including persistent sadness, decreased energy, appetite or weight changes, thoughts of death and suicide. Clinicians diagnose depression if someone has been experiencing such symptoms for at least two weeks.
You may not experience every symptom of depression. But, if you have difficulty overcoming the oftentimes crippling effects of the condition, we offer a broad spectrum of treatment options for children, adolescents, adults and seniors.
Our providers develop treatment plans based on your specific needs. These treatments include a number of approaches aimed to identify the root causes of the condition and equip you with the skills they need to thrive.
Child and adolescent inpatient mental health programs
Our child and adolescent inpatient mental health programs offer short-term, structured treatment in an age-appropriate environment. We have two different programs for specific age groups: one for children aged five to 12 years old, and one for teens aged 13 to 18 years old. The goal of each of these programs is to provide support for your child or adolescent who is struggling with a mental health condition or behavioral health symptoms that are impacting multiple areas of their life. We are dedicated to stabilizing them while finding the right level of support going forward.
We also offer Valley Academy for our youth inpatient programs. This is a an accredited school under the Tennessee Department of Education where children are provided a safe environment to complete their school work. This program offers stability and an opportunity to not fall behind in their courses.
Adult addiction program
Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) for addictive disorders is designed to help adults and seniors work toward recovery from addiction. We strive to help you rebuild a healthy daily life. With 12-step concepts providing a foundation, our program uses group therapy, education and family involvement to help you succeed.
Adult IOP
Adults dealing with emotional issues, mental health conditions or addictive disorders will find support and help in our adult IOP. Offered during the day or the evening, our IOP is appropriate if you need more support than traditional therapy, but not as much as inpatient care. You can attend this program while maintaining your regular daily schedule, as you join group therapy and learn coping skills. We offer daytime and nighttime IOPs at our campuses in Chattanooga and Cleveland.
Partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults
Our adult daytime treatment program — also called a PHP — provides psychiatric services while allowing you to spend nights at home. We provide daily group therapy, medication management, process groups and education classes to help build your knowledge and resilience.
Adult and senior inpatient mental health programs
Our offerings also inpatient mental health programs for adults with depression, anxiety, mood disorders or thought disorders. This inpatient program helps both adults and seniors stabilize while offering evidence-based therapies, medication management and education.
Senior mental health programs
Older adults face unique challenges, including grief, neurological disorders, declining health and dementia. All of these issues can impact emotional well-being. Our mental health programs for older adults address the needs specific to seniors while tailoring a treatment plan to your loved one's specific health conditions.
